How to use the safety rope?

How to use the safety rope, the following is a detailed introduction to you from the aspects of inspection, cleaning, storage, and scrapping.

1. When cleaning, it is recommended to use special washing rope utensils. Neutral detergents should be used, then rinsed with clean water, and placed in a cool environment to air dry. Do not expose to the sun.

2. Safety ropes should also be checked for burrs, cracks, deformations, etc. on the metal equipment such as hooks and pulleys before use to avoid injury to the safety rope.

Third, avoid the safety rope contact with chemicals. The safety rope should be stored in a dark, cool and chemical-free place. For the use of the safety rope, it is recommended to use a special rope bag to store the safety rope.

4. It is strictly forbidden to drag the safety rope on the ground. Do not step on the safety rope. Dragging and stepping on the safety rope will cause the gravel to abrade the surface of the safety rope and accelerate the wear of the safety rope.

5. After each use of the safety rope (or a weekly visual inspection), a safety inspection should be carried out. The inspection content includes: whether there is scratches or serious wear, whether it is corroded by chemical substances, seriously discolored, whether it is thickened or changed Thin, soft, hard, whether the rope bag is seriously damaged, etc. If this happens, stop using the safety rope immediately.

6. It is strictly forbidden to cut the safety rope with sharp edges and corners. Any part of a load-bearing safety line that comes into contact with an edge of any shape is highly susceptible to wear and may cause the line to break. Therefore, safety ropes are used in places where there is a risk of friction, and safety rope pads, corner guards, etc. must be used to protect the safety ropes.

7. The safety rope should be scrapped if it reaches one of the following conditions: ①The outer layer (wear-resistant layer) is damaged in a large area or the rope core is exposed; ②Continuous use (participating in emergency rescue missions) 300 times (inclusive) or more; ③ The outer layer (wear-resistant layer) is stained with oil stains and flammable chemical residues that cannot be removed for a long time, which affects the performance; ④ The inner layer (stress layer) is seriously damaged and cannot be repaired; ⑤ It has been in service for more than five years.
