Precautions for use of power rope

When using the power rope, the following items need special attention:
1. During the use of ropes, it is necessary to prevent the friction between ropes and sharp rocks and wall corners, as well as the damage to the outer skin and inner core of ropes caused by sharp objects such as falling rocks, ice picks and ice claws.
2. During use, do not let two ropes directly rub against each other, otherwise the rope may break.
3. When using double rope to descend or top rope to climb, the rope and the upper protection point can only be in direct contact with the metal buckle: – Do not directly pass through the flat belt – Do not directly pass through the branches or rock pillars – Do not directly pass through the rock cone hole and the hanging hole to avoid falling and releasing the rope at an excessive speed, otherwise the wear of the rope skin will be accelerated
4. Check whether the contact surface between the latch or descent device and the rope is smooth. If possible, some locks can be reserved for connecting ropes, and other locks can be used for connecting protective points such as rock cones. Because climbing equipment such as rock cones may form scratches on the surface of the latch, these scratches will cause damage to the rope.
5. When affected by water and ice, the friction coefficient of the rope will increase and the strength will decrease: at this time, more attention should be paid to the use of the rope. The storage or use temperature of rope shall not exceed 80 ℃. Before and during use, the actual situation of rescue must be considered.
