First, crochet lace

We call the lace produced by crochet machine crochet lace, which is often used to knit narrow warp knitted fabrics such as ribbon lace, tassel belt and elastic band. A drooping tassel made of colorful feathers or silk thread, which is often used at the skirt and hem of stage clothes.

Second, warp-knitted lace

Warp-knitted lace is woven by warp knitting machine, which is an important category of knitted lace. Using 33.3-77.8 dtex (30-70 denier) nylon yarn, polyester yarn and viscose rayon as raw materials, commonly known as warp-knitted nylon lace. Its manufacturing process is that the tongue needle uses warp to form a loop, the yarn guide bar controls the pattern of the warp knitting, and the lace is formed by slitting after setting processing. The bottom weave generally adopts hexagonal mesh and single weave. After bleaching and setting, the grey cloth is divided into strips, and the width of each strip is generally more than 10 mm. It can also be yarn-dyed into various color bars and grids, and there is no pattern on the lace. This kind of lace is characterized by sparse texture, lightness, transparency and soft color, but it is easy to deform after washing. Mainly used as the edge of clothes, hats, tablecloths, etc. The main raw material of warp-knitted lace is nylon, which can be divided into warp-knitted elastic lace and warp-knitted inelastic lace according to whether spandex elastic fiber is used or not. At the same time, after adding some rayon into nylon, multi-color lace effect can be obtained through dyeing (double dyeing).

Third, embroidery lace

Embroidery is embroidery. It was gradually developed by handicrafts all over the world in a long historical period. Embroidery lace can be divided into two categories: machine embroidery lace and hand embroidery lace. Machine embroidery lace is a large-scale production lace variety developed on the basis of hand embroidery edge.

There are unique colors and patterns in all ethnic groups (the typical jacquard ribbon is the best interpretation). China’s embroidery art has a long history and occupies an important position in national traditional handicrafts. Hand-embroidered lace is a traditional manual craft in China, with low production efficiency, uneven embroidery patterns and uneven embroidery. However, for the lace with too complicated patterns and more colors, it is only by hand, and hand-embroidered lace is more stereoscopic than machine-embroidered lace. In China, hand embroidery has a long history. Besides the well-known four famous embroidery in China, Suzhou embroidery, Xiang embroidery, Shu embroidery and Yue embroidery, there are also outstanding skills such as Han embroidery, Lu embroidery, hair embroidery, cashmere embroidery, Qin embroidery, Li embroidery, Shen Xiu embroidery and ethnic minority embroidery.

Fourth, machine embroidered lace

The machine-embroidered lace is embroidered by automatic embroidery machine, that is, under the control of jacquard mechanism, the stripe pattern is obtained on the grey cloth, which has high production efficiency. All kinds of fabrics can be used as machine embroidered grey fabrics, but most of them are thin fabrics, especially cotton and artificial cotton fabrics. There are two types of embroidery: small machine embroidery and large machine embroidery, and large machine embroidery is the most common. The effective embroidery length of large machine embroidery lace is 13.7 meters (15 yards). Embroidering on the 13.5-meter-long fabric can be made into full embroidery or cut into lace strips. According to different requirements, different embroidered base fabrics can be used to produce different kinds of lace, such as water soluble lace, mesh lace, pure cotton lace, polyester-cotton lace and all kinds of tulle stripe lace. The pattern can be adjusted as needed.
