Advantages of High Strength Polyester Yarn

The characteristics of high-strength polyester yarn are remarkable, which can be summarized as follows:
1. High-strength polyester yarn has high strength. The short fiber strength is 2.6 ~ 5.7 cn/dtex, and the high-strength fiber strength is 5.6 ~ 8.0 cn/dtex. Because of its low hygroscopicity, its wet strength is basically the same as its dry strength. Impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than viscose fiber.
2. High-strength polyester yarn has good elasticity. The elasticity is close to wool, and it can almost completely recover when it is stretched by 5% ~ 6%. The crease resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric is not wrinkled and has good dimensional stability. The elastic modulus is 22 ~ 141 cn/dtex, which is 2 ~ 3 times higher than that of nylon. Polyester fabric has high strength and elastic recovery ability, therefore, it is firm and durable, wrinkle-resistant and non-ironing.
3. High-strength polyester filament Heat-resistant polyester is made by melt spinning, and the formed fiber can be heated and melted again, which belongs to thermoplastic fiber. The melting point of polyester is relatively high, but the specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity are both small, so the heat resistance and thermal insulation of polyester fiber are higher. It is the best synthetic fiber.
4. High-strength polyester yarn has good thermoplasticity and poor melting resistance. Because of its smooth surface and tight arrangement of internal molecules, polyester is the best heat-resistant fabric in synthetic fiber fabrics, which has thermoplasticity and can be used to make pleated skirts, and the pleats last for a long time. At the same time, the melting resistance of polyester fabric is poor, and it is easy to form holes when encountering soot, sparks, etc. Therefore, try to avoid contact with cigarette butts, sparks, etc.
5. High-strength polyester yarn has good wear resistance. The abrasion resistance is second only to nylon with the best abrasion resistance, which is better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.
6. High-strength polyester yarn has good light resistance. Light fastness is second only to acrylic. The light fastness of polyester fabric is better than that of acrylic fiber, and its light fastness is better than that of natural fiber fabric. Especially at the back of the glass, the light fastness is very good, almost equal to that of acrylic fiber.
7. High-strength polyester yarn is corrosion resistant. Resistant to bleaching agents, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. It is resistant to dilute alkali and not afraid of mildew, but it can be decomposed by hot alkali. It also has strong acid and alkali resistance and ultraviolet resistance.
8. Poor dyeability, but good color fastness, not easy to fade. Because there is no specific dyeing group on the molecular chain of polyester, and the polarity is small, it is difficult to dye, and the dyeability is poor, so the dye molecules are not easy to enter the fiber.
9. High-strength polyester yarn has poor hygroscopicity, sultry feeling when it is worn, and at the same time, it is prone to static electricity and dust contamination, which affects its beauty and comfort. However, it is easy to dry after washing, and its wet strength hardly drops and does not deform, so it has good washable and wearable performance.
Summary:
The fabric made of high-strength polyester silk has the advantages of good strength, smoothness and stiffness, easy washing and quick drying, but it has some disadvantages such as hard hand, poor touch, soft luster, poor air permeability and moisture absorption. Compared with real silk fabrics, the gap is even greater, so it is necessary to simulate silk on the silk structure first to eliminate the disadvantage of poor wearability.
