It is particularly noteworthy that the sling without metal lifting rings should not be used during rapid descent, because the heat generated by the safety rope and O-ring will be directly transferred to the nonmetallic lifting point of the sling during rapid descent, and the lifting point may be fused if the temperature is too hot, which is very dangerous (generally speaking, the sling is made of nylon, and the melting point of nylon is 248 degrees Celsius).
3. Conduct an appearance inspection once a week, including: whether there is any scratch or serious wear, whether there is any chemical corrosion or serious discoloration, whether there is any thickening, thinning, softening and hardening, and whether there is any serious damage to the rope bag.
4. After each use of the safety rope, carefully check whether the outer layer (wear-resistant layer) of the safety rope is scratched or seriously worn, and whether it is corroded, thickened, thinned, softened, hardened or seriously damaged by chemicals (you can check the physical deformation of the safety rope by touching it). If the above happens, please stop using the safety rope immediately.
5. It is forbidden to drag the safety rope on the ground, and don’t trample the safety rope. Dragging and trampling the safety rope will make the gravel grind the surface of the safety rope, which will accelerate the wear of the safety rope.
6. It is forbidden to scrape the safety rope with sharp edges. When any part of the load-bearing safety rope comes into contact with corners of any shape, it is easy to wear and tear, which may cause the safety rope to break. Therefore, when using safety ropes in places where there is a risk of friction, safety rope pads and corner guards must be used to protect the safety ropes.
7, advocate the use of special rope washing equipment when cleaning, should use neutral detergent, and then rinse with water, placed in a cool environment to dry, not exposed to the sun.
8. Before using the safety rope, you should also check whether there are burrs, cracks, deformation, etc. on the metal equipment such as hooks, pulleys, and slow-down 8-shaped rings to avoid injury to the safety rope.
