Matters needing attention in continuous dyeing of braided rope webbing

Continuous pad dyeing with braided rope has become a very popular and efficient ribbon dyeing process. Then, what matters should be paid attention to in the process of continuous dyeing of ribbon?

1. Braided rope ribbon blank: The ribbon blank should first pay attention to whether the yarns used are of the same batch, because different batches of yarns contain different “oil” conditions, and if blended, it will become the element of pattern in the dyeing process; Secondly, whether the blank has been pretreated or not, the dyeing and coloring effect of the blank treated by essence is very good, because after treatment, the “oil” on the yarn is removed and the dye can be directly dyed with the fiber, and there is no protection.

2. Whether the pressure of the cylinders at both ends of the roller in the dyeing tank of braided rope (or rolling mill, dyeing vat and dyeing machine) is uniform or not: the rolling mill with ribbon connected to the hot-melt dyeing machine generally adopts pneumatic pressurization, and there is one cylinder on each side of the roller. When the rolling mill runs for a period of time, the pressure at both ends of the cylinder will be different due to the effect of moisture in compressed air, resulting in uneven liquid rate of the blank belt and color difference in the edge. In addition, the two ends of the roller of the rolling mill are pressurized, which leads to a certain deflection, resulting in inconsistent residual rate in the edge and color difference in the left, middle and right.

3. The pressure, concentricity and hardness of the roller in the dyeing tank of braided rope are very small. In order to minimize the influence of roller pressure on the left, middle and right color difference, the general roller pressure should be controlled above 0.2MPa during ribbon dyeing. In the production process, due to the wear and tear of the roll, it is required to calibrate and repair the roll regularly, otherwise, it is simply because the roll is not concentric that the inconsistent residual will lead to patterns. Rollers with different hardness have different residual rates. Too hard may lead to insufficient absorption of dyes, too soft may lead to many migration patterns of dyes, and how much hardness is appropriate depends on the strip.

4. The influence of baking oven fixing temperature on hair color: baking hair color is an important part of continuous hot-melt dyeing, and the uniformity of baking oven fixing temperature plays a key role in controlling the left, middle and right color difference of ribbon. After the braided rope polyester ribbon is pre-baked by infrared rays and then enters the baking oven, it is necessary to ensure the same temperature, otherwise significant color difference will occur. The experiment shows that the temperature difference between the left, middle and right of the baking oven exceeds 2℃, and the color of the ribbon changes significantly. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the baking oven temperature is uniform when dyeing is produced.

5. Influence of moisture content on the color difference between left, middle and right of ribbon: Polyester filament will participate in certain oil during spinning, so it should be treated with oil before dyeing. Ribbon is usually dried after it is braided and knotted before dyeing, but the uneven surface temperature of the drying cylinder will cause the difference of water content of the blank belt, and in serious cases, the left, middle and right color difference of the ribbon will be formed. In the dyeing production process, in order to avoid the left, middle and right color difference caused by the different moisture content of the blank belt, it is necessary to ensure that the blank belt is completely dried before dipping the dye solution, and the drying cylinder is regularly overhauled.
