Ribbon dyeing process

Webbing can be used as a kind of clothing accessories products, but also as a kind of textiles. There are two main methods for dyeing webbing. One is the most widely used dyeing (conventional dyeing), which is mainly to treat the webbing in a chemical dye solution.

Another method is to use paint, which is made into tiny insoluble colored particles to adhere to the fabric (fiber stock solution dyeing is not included here). The following is a brief introduction to the dyeing process of webbing. Dye is a relatively complex organic substance, and there are many kinds of it.

1. Acid dyes are mostly suitable for protein fibers, nylon fibers and silk. It is characterized by bright color, but poor washing degree and excellent dry cleaning degree. It is widely used in natural dead dyeing.

2. Cationic dye (alkaline fuel), suitable for acrylic, polyester, nylon and fiber and protein fiber. It is characterized by bright color and is very suitable for man-made fibers, but the washing and light fastness of natural cellulose and protein fabrics are poor.

3. Direct dyes, suitable for cellulose fiber fabrics, have poor washing fastness and different light fastness, but the modified direct dyes will have good washing chromaticity.

4. Disperse dyes, suitable for viscose, acrylic, nylon, polyester, etc., the washing fastness is different, polyester is better, viscose is poor.

5. Azo fuel (Nafto dye), suitable for cellulose fabrics, bright color, more suitable for bright color.

6. Reactive dyes, mostly used in cellulose fiber fabrics, less in protein. It is characterized by bright color, light fastness, and good washing and friction resistance.

7. Sulfur dyes, suitable for cellulose fiber fabrics, dark in color, mainly navy blue, black and brown, excellent light resistance, washing resistance, poor chlorine bleach resistance, long-term storage of fabrics will damage the fibers.

8. Vat dyes, suitable for cellulose fiber fabrics, good light fastness, good washability, and resistance to chlorine bleaching and other oxidative bleaching.

9. Coating, suitable for all fibers, it is not a dye, but mechanically attached fibers through resin, dark fabrics will become hard, but the color registration is very accurate, most of them have good light fastness and good washing degree, especially medium and Light color. As a type of textile, webbing is used in basic textiles.

After reading the above introduction, you should have a certain understanding of dyeing. In the ribbon industry, some raw materials need to be dyed, and some woven belts need to be dyed. Under normal circumstances, the dyeing of raw materials is mainly based on the type and quality of the material to determine the dyeing method; for ribbon dyeing, the dyeing method is mainly determined according to the material, quality and process of the belt. The dyeing methods mainly include the company’s own dyeing and external dyeing.
