This kind of marine cable has strong tensile force, no water absorption, corrosion resistance, small expansion and contraction, low density, convenient and safe operation, but its wear resistance is worse than that of traditional nylon and polyester multifilament cables, and the price is high. For example, the price of a large polymer polyethylene cable with a diameter of 48mm is generally 3 to 4 times that of a nylon multifilament cable with the same breaking force.
At the same time, the elasticity of the marine cable is comparable to that of iron, that is, it is basically inelastic, but extremely rigid.
A polymer polyethylene cable includes a core made of polymer polyethylene monofilaments, and several main strands made around the core. The main strand is composed of a core and 62 secondary strands around the core, the core is made of polymer polyethylene monofilament, and the secondary strand is made of chemical fiber monofilament. After the main strand is set, it is tightened by the metal monofilament, which further increases its strength and weight, so the core section radius can be greatly reduced (because the core set shares the core section radius requirements), and the camouflage increases the durability of the new sea rope, ensuring coiling or dragging. normal use.
